Research Interest

My research interests are in the area of cyber-physical energy systems (CPES), such as smart grid and smart buildings from the perspective of market mechanism design, optimization and control. The goal is to advance a reliable, flexible and sustainable CPES with the integrated interdisciplinary theories and techniques such as decentralized control, reinforcement learning (RL), game theory and market mechanisms. Beyond that I am also excited about developing foundational theories and techniques by exploring and exploiting the systems structures and features of CPES, such as decentralized optimization for structured convex or non-convex problems, that can lead to computational efficient and scalable solutions to the complex networked system counterparts in various realms.
